The Russian Center for Science and Culture (61 rue Boissière, 75116 Paris) invited me to the inauguration of
a very interesting exhibition called « The Way to Victory »
which shows to what extent we are kept unaware of a large part of the history when it comes to this country.
Of course, Stalin was a tyran, of course he sent opponents to the goulag …
Of course, he became an ally to the nazis to postpone his entry into the war.
But did you know that close to 500 000 jewish soldiers fighted in the Russian army against Germany ? And 40% of them were killed.
With them, the Russians played a key role in the victory.
The archives of the BLAVATNIK family and the financial support of the Foundation allowed to develop this exhibition which is also scheduled this year in Israël.
