Comtat Venaissin Jews Civil Records from 1763 to 1792
and 1808 Names Adoption

Carried out by Jean Carcassonne based on the photos he has taken from originals.

On demand, Jean Carcassonne can send to GenAmi members the photos in jpg format concerning the records or the register pages they are looking for.

CAUTION :

Data concerning Marriages and Deaths are coming directly from the Acts. On the other hand data concerning Births and 1808 lists are coming from tables.

The Family Names orthograph given in this database is not exactly what is written in the acts, but they are unified (this is not the case, even within a unique act).
As an example CREMIEU, CREMUY, CREMIEUX, CREMY... are registered CREMIEUX,
MONTEUX, MONTEL, MONTEIL, MONTELIS are noted MONTEUX.
For the given names, the same rule was adopted. Mourdacay, Mordacay, Mardochée are registered Mardochée.
