Data collected by Denis Lévy
This document is added to the Meurthe-et-Moselle département archives - reference 3F502 #1 - and has been issued in various specialised reviews.
Its title is: Statement of the households established throughout the baillage d'Allemagne before the Rijswick treaty and the happy comme back of His Royal Majesty and since then. The data retranscribed in the GenAmi database are true to the original spelling. The statement ends with the following: There are also up to six families of Jews established in the Merzig and Saargau area which depends upon His Royal Majesty and His Ecclesiastic Highness of Trier. [...] The document is not dated but it must have been established between October 1705 and September 1706 (estimation which takes into account the dates of establishment of the people and the date of the Rijswick treaty - September 20, 1697).
