Paris - 1872 Census
You will find here a computerised version of the census carried out in 1872 by the Consistoire.
There was many difficulties due to the poor quality of the handwritten original document. This census was written by clerks who do not know the major part of the names and places and who sometimes understood badly. This is particularly clear for the 11th arrondissenment. There are also probable errors due to the data collection.

Nota: In the fields "First Name" and "Last Name" the search is made on character string. For example, if you choose "lev" as last name you will find names such as "Levy", "Levi" or "Halevy".
